Doctoral Position in Computational Mechanics

The successful candidate will work within a DFG-funded Emmy Noether research project on computational methods for adhesion with applications in biomechanics and composites. The aim of the project is the mechanical modelling, simulation, investigation and optimization of adhesion mechanisms as they occur for example in gecko adhesion. The topic offers a suitable doctoral project which can be completed within three years.

The requirement for this position is a diploma or masters degree in engineering, applied mathematics, physics or a similar subject. Desired are very good skills in mechanics, computational mechanics, numerical mathematics and finite element methods as well as a successful record of working independently.

The AICES graduate school was established under the Excellence Initiative of the German federal and state governments to promote novel research and training in the field of computational engineering science. The school is a collaboration of 15 university institutes, the Jülich Supercomputer Center, and the Max Planck Institute for Iron Research. Aices organizes the doctoral education of ca. 80 students, as well as about 12 independent junior research groups. AICES provides excellent computational facilities and a dynamic service team. The working language is English.

The candidate will be employed as a regular employee. The candidate must meet required personal qualifications. The position is to be filled by 01.01.2010 and is for a fixed term until December 2012. The standard weekly hours will be 39,83 hours. Salary is according to TV-L E 13.

[beasiswa] [BUTUH INFO] Program doktoral Co-Tutelle di Perancis

Dear Milister,

Mohon pencerahannya nih. Saya dalah salah satu penerima beasiswa Perancis BGF 2010 program doktoral dan insya Allah akan terbang ke Perancis september 2010. Saya sudah mendapatkan tempat studi dan penelitian saya di EHESS Marseille tetapi program doktoral yang nanti akan saya adalah melalui skema co-tutelle. Apakah ada dari milister yang sudah pernah atau sedang menjalani program doktoral co-tutelle ini ? menurut saya agak ribet ya. Kebetulan Universitas saya terdahulu yaitu UI tidak ada hubungen kerjasama dengan EHESS akan tetapi pihak EHESS menyarankan saya untuk mengisi Convention de Co-tutelle Internationale de These, yaitu semacam surat resmi bahwa pihak UI dan EHESS yang diwakili oleh 2 profesor pembimbing yaitu profesor di Perancis dan profesor di Indonesia bersedia untuk membimbing saya dengen "keterikatan" kerjasama. Memang sih enaknya program doktoral co-tutelle boleh menggunakan bahasa Inggris untuk defense disertasi nantinya dan tidak diharuskan pakai bahasa Perancis.

Saya mau bertanya-tanya dan berdiskusi tentang ini, tolong japri ke saya. Saya mohon sekali bantuannya, karena saya harus mengurus semuanya sebelum desember berhubung semua universitas di Perancis akan libur natal dan tahun baru yang cukup lama.

Dear Sarah...

Bener banget apa yang dikatakan Luth...saya sendiri ngalamin itu kok..setelah selama 4 tahun mencoba berbagai beasiswa, akhirnya tahun ini bisa juga mendapatkannya. Bahkan lebih besar dari yang diharapkan sebelumnya. Dan bisa sekaligus membawa keluarga kesini.

Hampir setiap tahun saya mencoba berbagai beasiswa yang ditawarkan, udah ga keitung berapa banyak yg ak coba. walopun kadang2 melelahkan menjalani prosesnya tapi segala sesuatu kalo dengan sungguh2 percaya pasti menghasilkan yang baik.

Kamu bisa coba beasiswa itali. Kalo saya ga salah tiap tahun disediakan sekitar 600 beasiswa dan saya dengar yang apply tidak banyak..mungkin bisa dicoba.

Jangan pernah menyerah ya..pasti ada jalannya..

saya setuju dengan Iwan. Dalam arti, ketika satu pintu beasiswa tertutup, yakin aja ada pintu lain yang terbuka.

Tahun lalu ada teman milis ini yang bilang ke saya kalau ia gagal mendapatkan beasiswa Eifell. Tapi kemudian dia ngelamar beasiswa dari kedubes France, akhirnya dapat. Tidak berapa lama kemudian ia malah dapat beasiswa dari Ford Foundation kalo ngak salah... akhirnya dia lepas beasiswa dari kedubes France dan dia ambil yang dari Ford Foundation.

Seperti yang banyak diungkapkan dalam testimoni2 keberhasilan2 rekan2 di milis ini. Untuk mendapatkan beasiswa, sebagian besar rekan2 itu harus melalui proses yang terkadang lama dan melelahkan. KEGAGALAN untuk mendapat beasiswa itu...kemungkinan BESAR ada, KEBERHASILAN untuk mendapatkannya LEBIH BESAR lagi. Yang pastinya ngak boleh pernah putus asa dan harus terus mencoba.
Kalau belum dapat mungkin saja Allah lagi mempersiapkan mental kita dan menyediakan beasiswa yang lebih besar lagi, seperti yang saya ceritakan di paragraf sebelum ini.

Hallo Sarah

Semua beasiswa di mana-mana memang ada persyaratannya, misalnya, nationality tertentu, ethnic tertentu, gender tertentu, lulusan universitas tertentu, universitas tertentu yang ada kerja sama dengan si pemberi beasiswa, pegawai perusahaaan tertentu, nilai GPA tertentu, nilai score test language tertentu, etc. Jadi kalo mau ideal, tidak ada semua yang ideal. Maka, carilah yang kita eligible.

Lagipula, apakah sudah melihat thread ini sebelumnya di: http://groups. yahoo.com/ group/beasiswa/ message/33502
rasanya disebutkan mereka menerima application juga dari lulusan universitas negeri lainnya. Kalau anda lulusan universitas swasta berarti tidak eligible. Lagipula anda masih bisa apply Eiffel dan BGF kan.

Dear Ibu Dewi,

baca dari milis beasiswa tentang info travel grant,
coba ibu buka link berikut:

bulan juli lalu saya dapat dari program ini untuk konferensi ke italia. Bantuan ini bukan dari Dikti, tapi dari Biro Kerjasama Luar Negeri Depdiknas (jadi beda bagian sama dikti).
Memang cuma sedikit dapatnya 6,3 juta. Tapi prosedurnya dan kemudahannya --pengalaman saya yang kemarin- tidaklah sulit. Dulu saya dapat harga tiket 8,6 juta bolak balik pake emirates, so kekurangan 2,3juta lagi ditutup dari sumber pendapatan lain...

Sebetulnya ada lagi yang program P3SWOT dari Biro itu juga, dan bisa dapet maksimum 18 juta, cuma rasanya harus terintegrasi tidak hanya sekadar untuk biaya conference saja...

Syarat yang bantuan diknas itu bebas, banyak yang dapet dari kalangan guru, dosen, dan mahasiswa. Saran saya sebaiknya berkas2nya jangan dikirim online, tapi langsung dibawa ke sekretariat Biro tsb di lantai 6, jadi langsung diurus dan berkas tidak hilang...

utk biaya asuransi, memang WAJIB dibeli. Ibu bisa cek ke penyedia jasa asuransi. Saya waktu itu menggunakan Asuransi Central Asia (ACA) di Bandung, dan ibu memang harus membayar sejumlah uang tergantung kebutuhannya (harga semakin mahal jika besar tanggungannya makin besar dan jumlah hari kunjungannya makin lama). Ibu perhatikan jumlah tanggungan minimal yang diminta oleh kedutaan Belanda berapa, kalo mintanya yang 30.000 dollar, ya berarti ibu beli asuransi yang minimal sama dengan nilai itu (lebih boleh). Harganya bisa ratusan ribu rupiah...
