Dear Milliza,

Menurutku, dan dari pengalaman, lebih baek IELTS saja.
bagi kebanyakan univ, TOEFL itu tdk mencerminkan kemampuan writing dan speaking
Pengalamanku, TOEFL dipake untuk persyaratan awal saja. saya dulu sudah punya TOEFL cukup (walo ngesot juga, hehe)
terus sama univ yg di Belanda tetap mensyaratkan IELTS.

O ya, satu lagi. kalo TOEFL itu berlaku cuma 3 bulan, tapi kalo IELTS bisa 2 atw 3 tahun ya (aku lupa? hehe)

Ini TOEFL ya, bukan TOEFL iBT.
Kalo TOEFL iBT atau IELTS, jawabnya tergantung univ. Kalo Eropa cenderung IELTS, tapi kalo Amerika atau Australia pake TOEFL iBT.
Tapi di univ saya, yg apply pake TOEFL iBT bisa juga dikonversi nilainya setara IELTs.

Monash University offers international leadership scholarships to learn any of the courses (except Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or Master of Business Administration) for pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate degree. Scholarships offer 100% course fees, paid until the minimum number of points for the degree are completed. Applicants must maintain a distinction average (70% or above) each semester. [beasiswa] [INFO] Rome Master’s Scholarship for Overseas Students at University of Kent, 2013/14

The University of Kent in Rome is offering scholarship for taught master's programme for the academic year 2013–14. UK, EU and overseas students can apply for the scholarship. Candidates must hold a first-class Bachelor's Degree in a relevant subject or hold an equivalent non-UK qualification or a master's degree at merit or distinction in a relevant subject or equivalent by July 2013.

Eligibility

The scholarship is open to candidates who have been offered a place on any of the Kent at Rome MA programmes in Roman History and Archaeology or Ancient History, to start in September 2013.
Candidates must hold a first-class Bachelor's Degree in a relevant subject, or hold an equivalent non-UK qualification or a Master's degree at merit or distinction in a relevant subject or equivalent by July 2013.
The scholarship will be awarded to outstanding applicants able to demonstrate a high level of academic achievement, clear intellectual ambition and the potential to make a strong contribution to their chosen MA programme.
This scholarship is open to all full-time postgraduate applicants. UK, EU and overseas fee paying students are invited to apply.

What does it cover? Faculty of Humanities' Scholarship consisting of a fee waiver (worth £5,590) and a full maintenance stipend on £13,590, valid on a taught Master's programme in the Rome suite of programmes.

How to Apply:

Candidates must make a formal application to study on an applicable Rome taught Master's programme to commence their studies in September 2013.
Candidates must then be offered a place on the one of these programmes.
Candidates must also send a letter of motivation, not exceeding 500 words, stating why they wish to join their chosen Kent at Paris MA programme and how this fits into their longer term plans.
The letter should be sent by post and electronically.

The Department of Industrial Design of the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) seeks candidates for a fully funded

PhD position in “Persuasive Gaming"

The project

The PhD research will be carried out as part of a National project called Persuasive Gaming; From theory-based design to validation and back, a collaboration between the University of Utrecht, the Erasmus University Rotterdam and the University of Technology, Eindhoven.

The research in this project is concerned with a) the characteristics, b) design principles, and c) effectiveness of persuasive gaming. We study gaming practices that combine the dissemination of information with attempts to engage players in particular behaviors and attitudes. A unique feature of the project is the collaboration with partners in the Dutch game industry enabling us to immediately relate and apply our knowledge drawn from Game Studies, Media Studies, validation research and research on Game & Play Design to practical demands of the industry. Theoretically, we develop the innovative approach of a constant and intense interaction between what is drawn from theory with the actual design of game experiences. The subsequent merger between design and validation research provides a crucial testing ground to assess and validate the value of the knowledge we aim to produce. The process of persuasion is approached from a humanities perspective focusing on the interplay of different persuasive dimensions, including storytelling and playful interaction. The cases extend beyond traditional videogames incorporating also transmedia storytelling platforms and ambient games and intelligent open-ended play environments, creating play experiences closely integrated in the context of e.g. city life, therapy or education. The ultimate goal is the construction of a dynamic model for persuasive game development and implementation that is accessible for the industry as well as the research community. We are confident that this close collaboration between the industry and the academic world will contribute to improving the international competitive position of the Dutch game industry.

The PhD candidate will be expected contribute primarily to area (b) above, and to contribute to the whole project as part of a cross disciplinary and multi-site team.

About Industrial Design at TU/e

The Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e, www.tue.nl) is one of Europe's leading research universities. The Eindhoven area, in the southern part of the Netherlands, is one of Europe's top 'innovation ecosystems', with many high-tech companies and institutes. TU/e works closely with many of these companies and institutes, and research at TU/e is characterized by a combination of academic excellence and industrial relevance.

The Department of Industrial Design (ID) of the TU/e, founded in 2001, is a rapidly growing and dynamic department with over 600 students, both Bachelor and Master, and around 80 research staff members and about 60 lecturers and supportive staff. ID focuses on intelligent products, systems, and related services in a societal context.

Requirements

Candidates for this position should have a Master’s degree in an area related to Interaction and User Experience Design, with excellent grades (First Class Honours or equivalent). They should be pro-active and have a ‘hands-on’ attitude and a strong affinity with games and/or playful interaction as well as with creating experiential prototypes. Skills in prototyping with software and electronics (e.g. Arduino and MaxMSP) and physical modelling skills are essential. Furthermore, candidates should have demonstrated ability to think out of the box, and the interest and motivation to conduct empirical evaluations of design concepts. Good writing skills, the ability to work in a team, and, a strong sense for aesthetics are highly valued.

Appointment and Salary

The appointment is for 4 years, starting by September 1, 2013 (starting date is negotiable, but an early start is preferred). The hired researcher will receive a competitive salary as well as excellent employment conditions (including excellent sport facilities and child care). The research in this project must be concluded with writing a PhD thesis. A salary is offered starting at EUR 2,062 per month (gross) in the first year and increasing up to EUR 2,638 per month (gross) in the last (4^th) year. Moreover 8% bonus share (holiday supplement) and 8.3% bonus share (end-of-the-year allowance) are provided annually.

In the PISA project (Personal Information Security Assistant) we will focus on the hard problem of end user risk management, and design a tool that helps end users to manage and reduce their IT risks. For this we will take existing risk management methodologies such as ISO 27005 as a starting point, and develop them into an easy to use tool, using state of the arts methods and techniques of security research.

The project members cooperate with the human-media group to ensure usability of the user interface. The objective is to validate the tool design iteratively in a series of increasingly large scale experiments. Internally, the project is supported by a software engineer, who will develop a major part of the software, together with the PhD student.

The project has a strong industrial backing, consisting of IT service providers KPN and XS4ALL as well as a user committee of three other organizations (CSC, IT United and Hyves) willing to support the tool's development and testing. Project members will collaborate closely with these organizations and gain expertise in enterprise risk and security management.

Functie eisen:
A MS degree in security, software engineering, computer science or equivalent degree. You have a passion for research, but also a drive to deliver solutions that actually work in practice. You have good communication skills, in writing as well as oral. Your main task will be to do technical as well as empirical research, but you will be given the opportunity to acquire some teaching experience.

Arbeidsvoorwaarden:
An interesting temporary research position in a dynamic and international environment. You will be appointed for a period of four years. The salary starts at € 2062 gross per month and grows to € 2638 gross per month in the fourth year.

Kalau info beasiswa, saya pikir d Milis ini atau searching Internet sangat gampang didapat.

Stressing kami bukan menginfokan Beasiswa A,B,C, D... Tapi menghadirkan Sosok pejuang yang berhasil tembus Beasiswa, study dan hidup berjuang d LN, bahkan banyak yang sudah bekerja juga d berbagai bumi Allah.

Stressing kami, berbagi Motivasi, semangat, informasi, serta mengajak Kita generasi muda untuk bertanggungjawab dengan masa depan bangsa Kita. Dengan berjuang bersungguh-singgguh secara halal, artinya kita masing masing pribadi sudah memberikan kontribusi untuk perbaikan RI kita. Tentu d sini sebagai pelajar berjuang gigih, bukan suka bergantung dan datang datang ngetuk org langsung minta carikan Prof dan LOA.

Saya katakan selagi muda, semangatlah u sekolah k LN, lihat Negeri orang, ambil poin positivenya semua. Misal ya.. D Tokyo Institute of Technology... Ada 140 macam Beasiswa yang standby d sana...

Jadi sangat banyak kesempatan asal mau berjuang.

Saya dulu kr pindah Ke Tokyo beasiswa saya diputus. Saya masuk Tokodai bayar uang pendaftaran diskon 50%. Setelahnya ajukan beasiswa. Dua bulan sy lgsg direkomendasikan Tokodai beasiswa dari kelautan, besarnya bukan main 200 rb yen/bulan (20 juta). Paling tinggi saat itu. Tapi sayang Prof saya nggk rekomen, kr suami bekerja dg Prof juga. Kamu punya suami, gajinya sangat cukup. Jadi beasiswa saya diberikan ke mhs Tokodai yg lain.

Jadi kesempatan beasiswa u Univ top sangat teramat besar. Nah Yg begini begini infonya d mana mana kan tidak Ada... Maka perlunya menghadiri pertemuan oral sangat tidak bisa tergantikan..

Menunggu d Indonesia hanya ada Beasiswa Monbu.. Atau dari beberapa Perusahaan tertentu...

Nah kami di ACIKITA mengakali gimana Teman Tmn d tanah air bisa bersentuhan dg Para Prof?
