Dear Syariati,

Dulu rekan-rekan saya yang berkeluarga umumnya datang sendiri dahulu ke Korea, dependent baru diundang beberapa bulan kemudian. Kalau tidak salah ini karena proses mengundang dependents biasanya butuh semacam surat jaminan tentang status dan income sang pengundang di Korea (cmiiw).

Rekan2 saya dulu meminta surat keterangan ini dari advisornya masing-masing untuk kemudian dibawa pasangannya ketika apply visa ke kantor kedubes Korea.

PostDoc position in Cognitive Neuroscience

The department of Psychology at the University of Salzburg (Austria) is accepting applications for a postdoctoral research position in cognitive neuroscience.

Salary: €3.483,40 (before tax) monthly (14 times p.a.) according to FWF standard regulations

Beginning of employment: February 1st, 2015

• Duration of contract: The contract will initially be limited to a period of 12 months, after this it may be prolonged.

• Weekly hours: 40

• Working hours: according to the terms of the agreement

• Terms of employment: research support within the project „ Consciousness research across healthy vigilance states and disorders of consciousness "; supervision of Bachelor and Master students; willingness to teach within the division of physiological psychology is desired

• Required degree: PhD in Psychology or a related discipline (bioinformatics, ….)

• Required qualifications: extensive knowledge and research experience with EEG, additional knowledge in one other neuroscientific method (fMRI, MEG); knowledge and research experience in sleep research and/or chronobiology and/or consciousness research; ability to publish independently; good command of written and spoken English.

• Desired qualifications: additional experience in research on disorders of consciousness patients; ability to attract funding and conduct own projects; programming skills (e.g. Matlab, Presentation).

• Desired personal qualities: high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team, readiness of mind, willingness to become acquainted with new topics and methods; initiative and independence; conscientiousness and reliability

Interviews will be held between January 20th - 24th, 2015 (travel costs can not be refunded).

Applications will be accepted until December 1st, 2014.

Mas Bayu,

Saya mulai mencari beasiswa sejak umur 34, baru dapat beasiswa untuk Master dari salah satu Uni di UK di umur 37, lalu di Uni yang lain utk S3 di umur 40. Bahkan teman saya perempuan Indonesia dapat beasiswa penuh S3 di UK di umur 50an.

Di UK (dan saya kira di banyak negara eropa lain) mempertimbangkan umur adalah diskriminasi. Bahkan dalam menulis CV saja disarankan untuk tidak menulis tanggal lahir/umur, jadi mereka tidak peduli dengan umur anda.

Saya pernah berkorespondensi cukup intens ttg ide riset saya dg salah satu profesor di Singapore, dimana ujung2nya dia menyayangkan tdk bisa hire saya karena mereka biasa rekrut research student under 35 (saat itu umur saya 35 thn 8 bulan).

Saran saya, coba cari beasiswa di UK atau negara2 eropa.

Saya ada beberapa pertanyaan mengenai beasiswa LPDP, untuk Program Master Ekonomi jurusannya hanya untuk Akuntansi dan Keuangan saja yah? apakah diluar ini sama sekali tidak bisa atau bagaimana? misalnya saya sudah mendapatkan LoA untuk jurusan Business apakah tetap tidak bisa?
setelah melihat beberapa universitas di Eropa sepertinya jika ingin mengambil jurusan ini skor GRE/GMAT menjadi syarat mutlak, bisakah diganti dngan pengalaman kerja minimal 2 thn misalnya? karena sepengetahuan saya untuk biaya tesnya saja sudah lumayan mahal.

bagi teman-teman yang memiliki referensi kampus yangi jurusan Finance di Eropa boleh tolong dishare saya..
