1) pertanyaan standard banget ini, kayak gak pernah pake google aja. tentu saja info penerimaan mahasiswa baru yang lengkap ada di web kaist: www.kaist.ac.kr. jika masih ada yang ingin ditanyakan, jangan ragu menghubungi pihak kaist. being active is one of important keys to win a scholarship.

2) beasiswa pada dasarnya mencakup biaya hidup dan sekolah (spp, riset etc.) tapi biaya datang ke/ pergi dari korea atas biaya sendiri.

3) semua mahasiswa asing yang diterima di kaist menerima beasiswa full di awal pendidikan. bila berhasil menjaga performansi akademik pada level tertentu beasiswa terus diberikan. silakan cari dept. yang diminati, lantas coba hubungi prof dari lab yang cocok, lalu melamar jadi mhs kaist

Risk Management and Risk Reporting
Position: Early Stage Researcher/PhD Placement
Project Title: Interbank Lending and Bank Risk Measure

Project Description: The Early Stage Researcher (ESR) in this project will work on measures to restore the interbank markets that are crucial for banks' liquidity management, but mostly dried up during the crisis. The current external risk reporting of banks lacks credibility because the reported values at risk (VaR) turned out to be very small in relation to the reported depreciations on bank assets.

The project is divided in several steps.
The first step is to find out why the reported VaR were so misleading; is it because the underlying stochastic models are ignoring systemic risks, or because the time horizon of the underlying model is too short?
Second, can VaR be sufficiently improved to credibly communicate a bank's risk? If not, can stress tests be designed for that purpose? A more demanding approach is to combine different pieces of information that banks publish, which taken separately, might be insufficient, but when put together may be sufficient information for interbank lending. This requires research on the synergies of different pieces of information and empirical testing. This research should be of a theoretical and empirical nature.
Third, the issue of quick changes in banks' risk through derivatives trading needs to be addressed. Should banks report these big trades or should such trades be restricted to banks with stricter equity capital requirements?
Fourth, the ESR should differentiate systematic and non-systematic risk factors in bank risk positions to provide more precise insights into potential damages of lending to another bank.

Proposed Start Date: September 2009 subject to finalisation of the contract
Duration: 36 months
Financial Information: Salary plus allowances in line with Marie Curie FP7 requirements for ESRs.
Host Institution: Konstanz University
Academic Advisor: Professor Guenter Franke
Secondment 1: Erasmus University Rotterdam - 4 months
Secondment 2: Deutsche Bundesbank, McKinsey or Credit Suisse - 4 months, subject to confirmation

Eligibility: Nationals or residents of Germany cannot apply. At the time of appointment, applicants should have no more than 4 years experience (FTE) after graduation and should not have resided in the host country for more than 12 months in the last 3 years immediately before appointment.

Hallo..saya Willy Suryawan
saya anggota BEM KM FK UNAND, Padang..
Kami berencana untuk mengangkat seminar pada bulan November berjudul
"Program Pendidikan Dokter SPesialis Ke AMerika Serikat : Kelebihan, Kekurangan, alur pendaftaran, dan izin praktek"

rencama kami, pematerinya ada 3,
yaitu dari IIEF (sebagai pemateri yg membicarakan ttg USMLE),
dari kedutaan besar AS(untuk mengurus visa, undang2 kesehatan di AS), dan pembicara dokter Indonesia yang pernah mengambil USMLE/Residency Prgram di USA..

dari IIEF dan kedubes sudah kami hubungin dan sudah dapat contact personnya..tapi kami mengalami kesulitan untuk mendapatkan nama dokter tersebut, karena dokter yg rencananya kami akan undang dia untuk menjadi pemateri, ternyata sudah berada di Amerika Serikat..

Kami sangat kebingungan sekali..
jadi saya ingin meminta tolong kepada mas/mbak dokter (calon) teman sejawat, apakah memiliki info mengenai siapa dokter Indonesia yang pernah mengambil residency program di AMerika Serikat dan sekarang berdomisili di Indonesia..

Karena kami sangat ingin seminar ini benar2 terlaksana untuk membuka wawasan teman2 mahasiswa fakultas kedokteran tentang PPDS di luar negeri khususnya amerika serikat..

Dear romal,

Setau saya kita tidak boleh translate sendiri, tetapi harus
menggunakan "sworn translator". Saya menggunakan sworn translator dari
BINUS, dan saya berencana memberikan dokumen asli hasil terjemahannya
kepada pihak ADS, pada dokumen asli tersebut terdapat cap dari sworn
translatornya (sworn translator telah memiliki no terdaftar di dinas
pendudukan & sipil), tapi saya tidak tahu apakah ini atau boleh...

Mohon saran dan masukan dari teman-teman lainnya yang memiliki info
pasti ttg hal ini.

Mungkin bisa dicoba translated sekalian membuat certified copy di Sworn Translator. Pengalaman saya seh, belum tentu semua Kantor Catatan Sipil siap memberikan kita pelayanan translated akte kelahiran

Mas Dedy,

feeling saya sih ADS gak akan membiayai second degree, tapi cuma feeling saja ya.

Di luar itu, masalah second Master degree atau langsung PhD, bagaimana kalau cari jalan tengah. Misalnya, melamar ke program PhD yang juga menawarkan komponen coursework. Saya pikir di luar ADS masih ada sponsor lain. Tidak mau coba sekolah di benua Eropa atau Amerika? :)
