LSE Cities is seeking a Research Fellow to lead research that will improve our understanding of the links between city and metropolitan governance and the built environment. The post-holder will develop and lead a programme of interdisciplinary, innovative and international research under the theme of Urban Governance focusing on one or several of the following areas: local and institutional accountability; management of public services, including transport and infrastructure sustainable cities and planning; formal and informal development; investment, design and infrastructure. Candidates will have completed, or nearly completed, a PhD in Public Policy/Management, Political Science or a related discipline, and will have published work in internationally recognised peer-reviewed journals. Experience of working in or with inter-disciplinary teams will also be required.

Post-doctoral Fellowships University of Oxford - The Oxford-Princeton Global Leaders ProgrammeStipend: GBP 35,788 p.a. (year 1 in Oxford) USD 56,500 p.a. (year 2 in Princeton) Applications are invited from nationals of non-OECD countries for a number of two-year fellowships to work on global governance and the role of developing and emerging countries in the world political economy. Up to six such fellowships will be awarded to start in September 2012, for a year's study at Oxford followed by a year at Princeton. Post-holders will be provided with appropriate stipends sufficient to cover full living costs. The programme intends to establish a network of leading scholar-practitioners in global governance.
