Project title: Characterization of Functional Particle Systems
We currently have an opening for highly motivated students to work in our laboratory.
The student project involves the synthesis and characterization of metal oxide nanostructures for their use as components in functional devices. The researcher will be based at the Department of Materials Science and Physics, University of Salzburg, Austria.
Start date: October 2013
We offer a great working atmosphere as well as remuneration according to the Austrian University collective bargaining agreement (§26, remuneration group B1, gross salary per month € 1921.50,- (14 times), 30 hours a week for 4 years. Description Eligibility: Suitable applicants should meet the following requirements:
- A master's degree or equivalent in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or Chemical Engineering
- Interest and ideally expertise in working with metal oxides, characterization of structures and interfaces, spectroscopy and vacuum technology
- Very good English language proficiency
- Additional requirements include strong personality characteristics, flexibility, ability to work in a team and interest to work scientifically.
