International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IIMCB): job description

Doctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Structural Biology (Prof. Matthias Bochtler) at the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IIMCB) in Warsaw to study the biochemistry and structural biology of DNA methylation, hydroxymethylation and demethylation. The TEAM project, which is funded by the Foundation for Polish Science, is aimed at (a) at the development of prokaryotic enzymes as tools for methylation and demethylation research and (b) at the study of eukaryotic enzymes that are involved in the two "waves" of active demethylation in mammals. Experience in biochemistry, structural biology, or embryology would be an advantage.
