electrophysiologica
levels, in the context of cardiac arrhythmias. Many study axis are currently investigated, such as the
roles of protein partners specialized in the anchoring and the targeting of ion channels (Circ Res. 2009

The successful candidate will be a skillful and extremely motivated scientist with a PhD. She/he
must have a strong background in physiology, and cellular and molecular electrophysiology, but, must
deal easily with the biochemistry of membrane proteins, cell biology and molecular biology. The
applicant will be involved in collaborations with other members of the group and must show a high
motivation to interdisciplinary work. He may also possess knowledge and experience of another
excitable tissue than the heart. He will have the opportunity to use different type of imagery tools such
as confocal, 3-D deconvolution microscopes, run FRAP experiments and participate to the
development of TIRF (Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence) microscopy and videomicroscopy.
