In the group of Prof. Sax (Computational Chemistry) at the University of Graz (Austria) there is a PhD position

available:

The Institute of Chemistry is looking for a University Assistant without doctorate
20 hours a week; fixed-term employment for the first year; funding for the next years is secured; position to be filled

as soon as possible
Job specification
- Quantum theoretical studies of the stability of graphene/carbon nanotubes/fullerenes adsorbed to organic molecules

- Participation in teaching

- Providing assistance to students

- Opportunity to work on a relevant thesis


Professional qualifications
- Diploma or Master in chemistry or physics

- Experience in working with quantum chemical programs

- Programming skills

- Good written and verbal communication skills in the English language
Personal profile
- Ability to work in teams and good communication skills

- Independent and self-responsible way of working

- Reliability
Classification
Salary scheme of the Universitaeten-KV (University Collective Agreement): B1

Minimum salary
The minimum salary as stated in the collective agreement and according to the classification scheme is EUR 1331.50 gross/month.

This minimum salary may be higher due to previous employment periods eligible for inclusion and other earnings and remunerations.
