The Advanced Analytics Institute at the University of Technology, Sydney, is offering a number of PhD scholarships to both local and international students for data mining and data science research.       The Advanced Analytics Institute has one of the most successful research and development groups world-wide in the data analytics field for its high quality Research, high calibre analyst Education, and high impact Development. It has partnered with more than 20 major organisations, including Microsoft, Centrelink, Westpac, SAS, ATO, IAG, etc. The newly created scholarships provide opportunities for prospective research students to join this diverse group of academics and developers and to work on real-world high-impact research problems.       The scholarships include full living allowance and tuition fee waivers. Successful applicants will hold or be close to completing an Honours or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other related fields. Prior knowledge and experience in data mining or machine learning is a plus, but is not compulsory.      To express an interest in applying the scholarship, please send your CV and academic transcripts from your bachelor degree, to wei.liu@uts.edu.au by 1 September 2014.
