[beasiswa] [info] PhD or PostDoc position, HU Berlin, Scalable Data Analysis

  

The research group for "Knowledge Management in Bioinformatics" at the Institute for Computer Science of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin has  an opening for a Research position in scalable data analysis. The position is part of the regular staff of the chair and involves 4 hours  teaching duties per week during the semesters (in German). Starting date is 1.4.2015. The position will initially be filled for three years; an extension is possible. Payment is according to German regulations TV-L 13 (100%). The position is equally adequate for PostDocs and PhD students.      The holder of the position will pursue research in the area of scalable scientific (especially biomedical) data analysis. He or she will continue the development of a parallel scientific workflow specification language and execution engine which we are currently developing in the course of a European project. The aim of this engine is the flexible and scalable execution of complex Bioinformatics workflows. The precise research topic will be determined based on the qualifications, experiences, and interests of the applicant.
