The Pharmaceutical Analytics group of Dr. Irmgard Werner is seeking a student for a PhD position in the area of peptide analytics.
PhD position in pharmaceutical sciences
The goal of the PhD project is to develop a prediction system for peptide solubility. A special focus will be on solid-phase peptide synthesis and advanced analytics.
The successful candidate should have a solid background in pharmaceutical sciences or (bio)chemistry with a strong affinity to analytic methods such as HPLC. The candidate should be interested in working in a small research group in a self-sustained and independent way. Prior knowledge regarding peptide synthesis and analytics is appreciated. Candidates should be highly motivated, self-organized, focused, display initiative and concentrated on methodological details. Excellent command of the English language is expected. German language skills would be appreciated.
