Applications are invited for a Ph.D position at CEA LETI, Grenoble, France.      The selected candidate will perform cutting-edge research on the interconnection between Wireless Communications and smart power grids:  http://www-instn.cea.fr/Publication_Sujet.php3?idSujet=10480&id_rubrique=140&langue=uk&lang=en      The position is for 36 months, the start date is expected to be Fall 2014.      CEA LETI offers a stimulating and collaborative environment and provides the opportunity to cooperate with a varied set of institutions, both in academia and  industry through national/international projects.      To be considered for these Ph.D. positions, the interested candidates should meet the following criteria :      - Master's of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.  - Solid knowledge in the area of signal processing and  wireless communications; knowledge on smart grid is a plus.  - Strong mathematics background.  - Programming skills.  - Ability to pursue independent research.  - Ability to work in an inter-disciplinary team.  - Excellent writing and communication skills in English.  -French is a plus.
