Criminology Graduate Teaching & Research Assistant (GTRA) Scholarships

The School of Law of The University of Manchester invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for a School of Law Criminology GTRA Scholarship to fund a PhD. The School of Law is a multi-disciplinary School, and we welcome applications from candidates proposing to undertake doctoral research in the areas of criminology, socio-legal studies, law, bioethics, or social ethics & policy. PhD research can be undertaken in any of these areas, however the successful candidate will be able to teach criminology subjects, to start in January 2014.
The GTRA Scholarship will offer the full payment of tuition fees for the duration of the PhD (three years), plus an additional annual stipend as a contribution to maintenance - altogether, an annual amount of approximately £17,000.
Competition for this Scholarship is open to both home/EU and overseas applicants.
