========================================================      CALL for PhD STUDENTS IN ELECTRICAL AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING                         Embedded and Real-Time Systems                                        2014-2017/8      ========================================================                     CISTER/INESC-TEC Research Unit      Porto, PORTUGAL              The CISTER/INESC-TEC Research Unit (http://www.cister.isep.ipp.pt/), an  internationally renowned research centre in real-time and embedded systems,  is announcing 6 PhD Student positions in Electrical and Computer  Engineering  with 3-4 year grants, starting in September 2014. The call will be open  from  May 26th to June 9th.      We are looking for highly motivated candidates with a 4-5 year degree in  Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related fields.  Candidates with a 3 year degree and a strong CV, either academic or  professional, are also encouraged to apply. Candidates are expected to have  command of both spoken and written English.      Research grants are provided for up to four years. Salary will be 12.000,00  € (after taxes) per year, the standard value of FCT's PhD grants. Our  industry partners will sponsor up to two scholarships worth 2.000,00 €  (after taxes) per year in addition to the base salary.
