Research Institute for Future Media Computing http://futuremedia.szu.edu.cn Applications across the areas of image/video processing, computer vision, multimedia, computer graphics, machine learning and pattern recognitions are invited for full PhD scholarships and post-doctoral positions at the Research Institute for Future Media Computing, School of Computer Science & Software Engineering, Shenzhen University, China. Shenzhen is one of the fastest-growing cities in the world, situated immediately north of Hong Kong. Being China's first and one of the most successful Special Economic Zones (SEZs) with a population of over 15 million, Shenzhen is southern mainland China's major financial center as well as the headquarters of numerous Chinese world-leading high-tech companies. Shenzhen University is one of the research-intensive universities in China, organized in 25 colleges covering sciences, engineering, medicine, philosophy, literature, economics, management, law, education, arts, language, and history etc. The student population is over 35000. Following significant investment, the Research Institute of Future Media Computing is recently established to implement the university¡¯s research and expansion strategy in areas around future media technology innovations to stimulate the next-generation digital economy growth supported by world-recognized IT industry in Shenzhen City. Further details about the research institute and the university are available in http://futuremedia.szu.edu.cn. 1) Depending on the experiences, qualifications and potentials, each PhD studentship pays a tax-free bursary of minimum 50,000 CNY/pa plus additional on-campus housing benefits; 2) For post-doctoral research fellowships, a tax-free salary of 220,000 CNY/pa is paid plus additional housing benefits, depending on research track records and potentials; There is no deadline, and we accept applications all the year around.
