Job Application for Postdoctoral Researchers
Kyoto University Global COE Program "Energy Science in the Age of Global Warming" is
seeking Postdoctoral Researchers with the following specifications.
COE Program "Energy Science in the Age of Global Warming" is in part supported by a five-year
Fund (September 2008 to March 2013) from the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture,
Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).
１．Nature of employment: Postdoctoral Researcher in Kyoto University Global COE Program.
２．The number of positions available：2 (Postdoctoral Researcher AandB)
３．Research Fields：
The Global COE Program entitled "Energy Science in the Age of Global Warming" is seeking
applicants for two Postdoctoral Researcher in the following respective research field.

４. Conditions of application and employment:
1) Requirements for applicants: Applicants must have a Ph.D.
2) Term of the appointment: The appointment will be renewed every year up to March 31,
2013 according to the rules of employment in
up to March 31, 2012, which is the end of the Japanese academic year for 2011.
3) Salary: Salary will be paid monthly in accordance with the rules of
the annual salary system.
4) Insurances: National Public Servant Mutual Aid Association and Unemployment
Insurance (compulsory).
５. The starting date of employment: Aug. 1, 2011 or later
６. Procedure of the application:
1) Required documents:
a. Application Form (specify your research field and Subject Keywords)
b. Curriculum Vitae (Academic and research backgrounds after high school and a color
photo taken within 3 months (3 cm×4 cm)).
c. Letters of recommendation or the names of references
d. List of publications and copies of three representative publications
e. Short description of research plan in about1000 words
f. Any other pertinent information such as a list of patents and research funds.
