Subject: [Indo-Sing] riset PhD dan Postdoc di lab Andrivo Rusydi, NUS

Dear all,

Mengenai reputasi riset,
sepengetahuan saya beliau sangat bagus.

Bowo

Dr. Andrivo Rusydi
Assistant Professor at NUS (Singapore)
Visiting Professor at Center for Free Electron Laser of University of
Hamburg
(Germany)

Rusydi's lab  is part of NanoCore centre, the newly established
Nano-Institute  across  traditional
scientific and engineering disciplines to achieve progress in the technology
on the nanoscale. Dr. Rusydi
is the 2008 NUS Young Investigator Award and very recently, as one of lead
PIs of a research team in
Oxides, has been granted  a  $10 Million  research  funding  from National
Research Foundation  (NRF).
These  create many  exciting and interesting  research topics available for
graduate student researches
(PhDs) and research fellows (RFs) in his group.

The group has a number of positions for PhDs and RFs with the following
themes.

[1] Manipulation of new quantum states by atomic control of oxide layers for
novel functionality:
theoretical and experimental studies.
[2]  A study of  vortex lattices in high-Tc  superconductors using resonant
soft x-ray magnetic
scattering.
[3] A study of electronic dispersion of interlayer interaction in multilayer
graphene using ARPES,
resonant soft x-ray scattering and optical ellipsometry.
[4] Toward room temperature magnetoelectric multiferroics: Cupric oxide film
heterostructure.
[5] Electronic structure of organic semiconductor: theoretical and
experimental studies.
[6] New Paths for room temperature half metallic and ferromagnetic
materials.

The students will have ample opportunities to interact with well-known
scientists worldwide and to use
modern and  world class research facilities at NUS  and worldwide,
including  various  synchrotron
facilities such as Singapore Synchrotron Light Source (Singapore), HASYLAB
and FLASH (Germany),
Brookhaven National Laboratory (USA) and Canadian Light Source (Canada).

Research facilities:
[1] Full access to all facilities at NanoCore (
http://www.nanocore.nus.edu.sg/research.html).
[2] Low temperature facilities for X-ray absorption, X-ray magnetic circular
dichroism, spin resolved
photoemission spectroscopy, and ARPES facilities at Singapore Synchrotron
Light Source.
[3] Full access to a unique VUV-FEL Raman spectrometer instrument at Center
for Free Electron Laser
at Hamburg.
[4] Resonant soft x-ray magnetic scattering at Canadian Light Source.
[5] Access to facilities at Brookhaven National Laboratory (USA) and
HASYLAB.
[5] Access to facilities at HASYLAB (Germany).

Highly motivated and interested students are welcome to join and have fun
with us! Please contact the email above for details.
